AMD Consulting, LLC was formed and incorporated in September 2003, as a full service consulting firm with the primary focus areas in Leadership & Management, corporate & computer training, and health care operations compliance and medical office billing.
Mary Kay Driscoll, MBA, RHIA, CMBS is the founder and president of AMD Consulting, LLC. Her 15 years of management, training and health care compliance gives her the competitive advantage to save her clients’ time and money. She has led major leadership and transformation initiatives nationwide; and has been a former Director of Health Information Management at various health care organizations where she coordinated large scale data conversion projects, and instituted corporate compliance and coding process improvements. She has served as an Executive HIPAA Privacy & Security Project Coordinator, and JCAHO Hospital Information Management Executive Committee Chairperson. She is also the Lead Faculty for Allied Health and Advanced Medical Coding & Billing for Lincoln College Online a division of Lincoln Education Services, West Orange, NJ. In addition she serves as a workforce development adjunct instructor for Penn State University, and Marywood University. She is also an adjunct instructor and professional tutor at Keystone College, La Plume, PA.
She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Development & Human Resources from the University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Information Management from the State University of New York (SUNY) Institute of Technology @Utica/Rome, Utica, NY. She is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), and as a Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS). She is also pursuing a Doctorate of Education (EdD) degree in Higher Education Leadership from Northcentral University, Prescott Valley, AZ.
Mary Kay is actively involved with numerous professional organizations, the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Pennsylvania State Health Information Management Association(PAHIMA), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), American Academy or Professional Coders (AAPC), The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mary Kay has been published in a number of management publications on a variety of topics including management, human resources, health care quality performance improvement, medical coding & compliance issues, and health care curriculum design. She also serves as a textbook reviewer for two major allied health textbook publishers where her coding/billing contributions have enhanced the educational experience for students across the country.
